Principal

David Taylor is the founding principal of Taylors Solicitors. Mr Taylor Senior was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales in 1970 after completing his Articles of Clerkship with Truman Nelson Norman & Howard of Sydney under his Master Solicitor, John Howard (the 25th Prime Minister of Australia).

Mr Taylor subsequently worked in private practice in Sydney whilst between 1975 and 1979 served on the Waverly Council. Mr Taylor Snr became Mayor of the Municipality of Waverly in 1977. Also in 1977, for his services to the community he was awarded the Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal.

After serving on the Council, Mr Taylor moved from Sydney to Brisbane in the early 80s and was admitted as a Solicitor in Queensland in 1984. Since this time Mr Taylor has been responsible for many high profile civil matters. This includes successfully appealing to the High Court of Australia on behalf of a client in 1991, a feat which is rare for a sole practitioner.

Until early 2007, Mr Taylor served as a Queensland solicitor representative on a Committee within the Law Council of Australia.

Mr Taylor Snr continues to act as the principal of Taylors and maintains his reputation of being a formidable advocate for his clients.

David J. E. Taylor was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2006. Mr Taylor Junior joined the firm after undertaking his legal training with well-respected Gold Coast based firm Gall Standfield and Smith Solicitors.

Mr Taylor Jnr has a combined Law/Arts degree with majors in Journalism and Criminology from Bond University. Mr Taylor Jnr also completed part of his studies with the University of British Columbia in Canada. As a result of his studies, he holds a specialisation in Legal Practice.

Mr Taylor Jnr provides consultant legal services to a select number of clients in regards to various civil legal matters, with a special interest in dispute resolution, legal advocacy and strategic legal planning.

Since 2009 Mr Taylor Jnr also serves as a Non-Executive Director of CuDeco Ltd, an ASX listed top 200 company. Mr Taylor Jnr is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
